Real Madrid still interested in signing Kylian Mbappe
The names of Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe have been interlinked with each other for a few years now. It has pretty much been an open secret that that the French superstar would like to don the Royal White jersey someday. Yet, when it had looked like he was set to make a move to the Santiago Bernabeu on a free transfer, he ended up agreeing a contract extension with PSG instead.
That transfer saga left a bitter taste in the mouths of a lot of Real Madrid fans, who did not want to see the club being linked with Mbappe ever again. And yet, as he has continued to deliver the goods on the pitch, especially at the recent World Cup, it now feels like the majority of supporters would still be very open to the idea of Los Blancos signing the French phenomenon.
Some rumours had suggested that Real Madrid had closed the door on any future move for Mbappe.
But it looks like that might not be the case after all. As reported by The Athletic (via Tribuna), Real Madrid are still in contact with Mbappe.
Real Madrid are still in contact with Mbappe
Thus, it pretty much looks like Real Madrid still hold an interest in Mbappe, and why would not they, considering that the Frenchman looks set to be the next big superstar of the game.
The bigger problem for Los Blancos might be agreeing a deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Mbappe, considering that rumours suggest that the relationship between the two clubs is not the best at the moment.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Mbappe but considering the fact that he is still just 24 years of age, it would be a surprise if we did not see him in a Real Madrid shirt one day.
