Arsenal are the story of this season. After almost two decades, the Gunners look like the favourites to be crowned Premier League champions. It goes without saying that Mikel Arteta deserves immense credit for the job that he has done at the club, and their board does too, for sticking with him even when times were tough. Now, it looks like they have set their eyes on signing another Real Madrid star on loan.

Of course, Arsenal are no strangers to signing players from Real Madrid on loan. Dani Ceballos spent time in London on a temporary basis, while the club ended up signing Martin Odegaard on a permanent basis altogether. The Norwegian might very well be the best in the Premier League on current form.

And now, as reported by Evening Standard, Arsenal are interested in signing Eduardo Camavinga on loan for the rest of the season. It is unclear if Real Madrid would let him leave.

One would think though that there is little to no chance that Real Madrid would entertain the idea of Camavinga leaving on loan this month, especially after some of his recent performances.

Arsenal interested in signing Real Madrid star on loan but it feels unlikely

Camavinga has not been a regular starter for Real Madrid this season for sure, but he certainly seems to be growing into his role.

In fact, he has been one of the better performers for the club in recent months, as a number of players have seemed sluggish and out of form.

With Real Madrid also having issues with a lack of squad depth, it would be a huge shock if they let Camavinga join Arsenal on loan in the middle of the season. Of course, never say never in football, but chances of this move happening are as close to nil as it gets.
