Real Madrid need to strengthen their ranks all over the pitch in multiple positions. One of them is certainly striker. After a rough start to the season, which involved several spells out on the sidelines with one injury or another, Karim Benzema has seemed to rediscover some of his form recently. But other than him, the club have no real option up front.

Mariano Diaz seems to be completely out of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans and has barely featured. His current deal with the club also runs out at the end of the campaign and he is expected to leave then.

That would leave Benzema as the only recognised striker at the club though, and that simply is not enough. The club have already agreed a deal for Endrick but he is not going to arrive before the summer of 2024. Thus, Los Blancos need to sign a striker next summer.

As reported by SPORT, Rasmus Hojlund is one of Real Madrid’s next targets. The club are looking for a striker to help Benzema.

Real Madrid are interested in signing Danish striker compared to Erling Haaland

Hojlund currently plays for Atalanta in Serie A and he has certainly impressed in the appearances that he has made for the club.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 16 appearances for Atalanta, while playing 758 minutes of football for the Italian club in total till now.

Still just 19 years of age, the sky seems to be the limit for someone like Hojlund and he has already earned comparisons to Haaland, thanks to his physicality up top.

Real Madrid’s transfer policy in recent years has been signing the best young talents from around the world and developing them at Santiago Bernabeu. And someone like Hojlund would certainly fit the description of what Los Blancos are looking for.
