Real Madrid boss confirms brilliant triple injury boost
Real Madrid’s biggest issue right now is the number of players that they are missing through injury. Yet, the club have managed to stay competitive for the most part, except for a few downturns in form here and there. It is clear though that they need most of their players available if they are to compete for all the trophies this season. And there seems to be some positive news on the fitness front for Los Blancos.
Real Madrid are particularly light on options at the back right now. But it looks like two of them are closing in on returns in the form of Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.
The Austrian was expected to be available in the last match against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey and was even named in the squad, but had to be withdrawn at the last minute due to a relapse of his muscle injury.
On the other hand, the veteran duo look set to be joined by Aurelien Tchouameni, with Real Madrid clearly missing the Frenchman in the middle of the park over the last few weeks, even if Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Ceballos have stepped up to the plate.
Real Madrid boss confirms brilliant triple injury boost
As reported by Real Madrid’s official website, Carlo Ancelotti said while speaking about Carvajal:
"“He did well in the early stage of the season. Now he’s on the way back from injury and we trust him, as we always have. He has so much experience and he’ll contribute in the second half of the season. He’ll be available for the next match, as will Alaba and Tchouameni, who will be back against Valencia on Thursday.”"
Thus, it looks like while the trio will not be available in the game this weekend against Real Sociedad, they are expected to be fit in time to potentially feature against Valencia in midweek.
It goes without saying that that is a massive boost for Real Madrid, who have been struggling for depth badly over the last few weeks. Three key first-team players like Carvajal, Alaba and Tchouameni returning at the same time will hopefully go a long way in solving that issue.
