Real Madrid have not made any additions to their squad in the ongoing January transfer window till now despite the fact that the team have seemed to be struggling with injuries, fatigue and depth issues. There is another problem that they are facing due to their decision though, with other clubs signing the players that Los Blancos were believed to be keeping an eye on.

It was just recently that we saw Chelsea agree a deal for Malo Gusto, the 19-year-old Lyon right-back. And now, it looks like Tottenham Hotspur have managed to get a deal done for one of Real Madrid’s rumoured targets as well.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur have reached full verbal agreement with Sporting CP to sign Pedro Porro. It will be sealed in the next 24 hours, if all goes to plan.

Porro has been one of the most prolific right-backs or right wing-backs in all of football this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 3 goals and provided 11 assists in 25 appearances in the ongoing campaign for Sporting CP.

Porro has been excellent in recent times to say the least and he might very well be the best right-back in the world right now, when it comes to the attacking side of the game. Thus, it should come as no surprise that Real Madrid had been linked with him.

But now, a move to Tottenham Hotspur seems to be just a matter of time and Real Madrid will have to move their eyes elsewhere.

Of course, right-back is one of the big problem areas for Real Madrid right now. Dani Carvajal has struggled with fitness and form for some time. On the other hand, neither Lucas Vazquez nor Nacho Fernandez is a long-term solution, while Alvaro Odriozola is expected to leave soon.
