Real Madrid have stuck with their stance of not making any additions during the January transfer window. Whether it was the right decision or not, only time shall tell. For the time being though, it is safe to say that Carlo Ancelotti’s side are facing a lot of problems and need to find the solutions as soon as possible.

Los Blancos had started the season in blistering form but things have gone off track for some time now. They lost the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona, and have fallen five points behind them in the La Liga title race as well. But this team always finds a way to deliver when it matters most, and fans will be hoping that they are able to do that this time around as well.

One of the problem areas for Real Madrid right now is right-back. One of the players that they had been linked with on numerous occasions in recent times has ended up joining Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day though.

As reported by Tottenham Hotspur’s official website, Pedro Porro will join the club on loan until the end of the season, with an obligation to make the deal permanent in the summer.

For a while, it had looked like the deal for Porro might have been off. It had dragged on for a few days and surely, some Real Madrid fans would have been hoping for him to be available in the summer.

But Porro has completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur in time, and will be playing for Antonio Conte’s side from here on forward.

Of course, he is not the first full-back target that Real Madrid have missed out on recently. Malo Gusto joined Chelsea, while Joao Cancelo has moved to Bayern Munich on a loan deal.
