Cristiano Ronaldo recently made a blockbuster move to Al-Nassr. Even six months back, not many would have seen it coming but since then, things have changed a lot. The Portuguese icon saw his second stint at Manchester United end abruptly following the release of his controversial interview with Piers Morgan. That was followed by a poor World Cup. And while he was linked with several European clubs, including Real Madrid, nothing materialised.

Following the addition of Ronaldo, Al-Nassr seem to be interested in signing a few other legends of the game as well. And two of the players that they have been linked with recently are the legendary Real Madrid duo of Karim Benzema and Luka Modric.

It is safe to say that both are in the twilight of their careers and it would not be a surprise to see them leave the club at some point in the future. But Carlo Ancelotti seems to be of the view that they should retire at Real Madrid.

As reported by the Mirror, the Real Madrid manager said about the matter:

"“I don’t think Benzema or Modric are going to come to my office, because I don’t think they need my advice.“The legends of Madrid have to stay in Madrid, and retire here. That’s what I think and we’re talking about two legends.”"

Benzema is 35 years of age while Modric is 37. Yet, both of them are still very capable of performing at the top level.

Benzema is the current holder of the Ballon d’Or. On the other hand, Modric was one of the best players at the recent World Cup. Both of them are still top level players, despite being close to the end of their playing careers.

If they wanted to leave Real Madrid, then there would be lucrative opportunities for them elsewhere. But perhaps, the best case scenario for them would be retiring at the club where they became legends, in front of a full Santiago Bernabeu crowd.
