Real Madrid find themselves in a very interesting position right now when it comes to the futures of a number of their players. It was just last summer that we saw the likes of Gareth Bale, Isco and Marcelo leave at the end of their contracts. And there could be more such exits to come in the future as well.

There are a long list of players who current deals run out at the end of this season and it will be interesting to see whether they end up extending their stay at Santiago Bernabeu or not. Of course, the situation of each player is different and unique.

One such player whose current deal runs out at the end of the campaign is Marco Asensio. It is still unclear what the future holds for him. On one hand, he is still a part of first-team plans, and comes off the bench regularly, along with getting occasional starts.

On the other hand, it is very possible that he could be a bigger part of a team, if he left. And it looks like the Spaniard is keeping his options open, with his future yet to be sorted.

As reported by the Mirror, Asensio’s agents will fly to London this week to get a feel for Premier League interest in the player. Arsenal are among the clubs they are planning to talk to.

At this point of time, it is hard to predict what the future holds for Asensio. Rumours have suggested that Real Madrid are interested in offering him a new deal.

But at the same time, there is not expected to be any lack of interest in his signature from abroad, with Mikel Arteta believed to be a fan of the Spaniard.
