Real Madrid have been linked with some of the most highly-rated rising stars in world football in recent times. That would be in line with the club’s recent transfer policy as well, as Los Blancos have focussed on signing players who can contribute to the team for the next decade to come instead of going after the biggest names available.

The fact that the club have not only stayed competitive, but actually won the Champions League and La Liga double last season, is a credit to everyone involved at Real Madrid. At the same time though, one cannot overlook the fact that there are a lot of holes in this squad and reinforcements are needed.

Striker is one position where Real Madrid need to make a signing soon. Karim Benzema is 35 years of age and has struggled with one injury after another this season. On the other hand, Mariano Diaz is expected to leave at the end of the campaign, when his contract runs out.

Rumours have suggested that Real Madrid could be looking for a short-term addition next summer, to provide cover for Benzema. But there might potentially be a great long-term option available as well, who the club should definitely be keeping an eye on.

Real Madrid should target €75 million Juventus star

Juventus find themselves in trouble, after being handed a 15-point deduction. That has meant that they have slipped out of the top four race completely and currently find themselves at 13th in the Serie A table.

If Juventus miss out on Champions League qualification, then it is very possible that some of their star players would be looking for the exit door in the summer. And Dusan Vlahovic is someone who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid lately.

It was just around a year ago that Vlahovic joined Juventus from Fiorentina for a transfer fee believed to be around €75 million.

He has a decent record in Turin as well. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Vlahovic has scored 16 goals and provided 4 assists in 38 appearances and 2997 minutes of football for Juventus.

That is decent but at the same time, it feels like Juventus might not be the best place for Vlahovic to flourish and show his best. Massimiliano Allegri’s side play a defence-first style of football and have scored only 30 goals in 20 Serie A games this season till now.

On the other hand, someone like Vlahovic could show his best at a club like Real Madrid, where he will get plenty of chances to put the ball into the back of the net. There is no doubt about his ability to score goals.

So, Real Madrid should consider a move for Vlahovic next summer, but only if he is available for a transfer fee that makes sense for Los Blancos.
