Real Madrid’s transfer strategy has undergone a bit of transformation in recent years. Not too long ago, the club were all about signing the biggest names possible. But now, they appear to be much more focussed on signing some of the best young talents in the world and developing them into first-team stars at Santiago Bernabeu.
We have seen them do that with players like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde. All of them arrived as teenagers and are now first-team regulars for Real Madrid. Recently, they signed 16-year-old Endrick from Palmeiras in a transfer package that could rise up to €72 million including add-ons and taxes.
Real Madrid are also one of the biggest clubs on the planet. And thus, it is only natural that players from around the world dream of playing for them.
It looks like the name of Roony Bardghji belongs firmly on that list. The 17-year-old has already played quite a bit of senior level football for FC Copenhagen and has lofty ambitions. As reported by Aftonbladet (via Football Espana), he said:
"“The dream is of course to take the next step to the big leagues, clubs and tournaments. And the club I want to end up in? I want to play at Real Madrid and stay there for many years.”"
Swedish wonderkid dreams of playing for Real Madrid
Bardghji is considered as the biggest talent coming through Swedish football today and it is believed that he is destined for big things in the game.
It was just last November that he turned 17 years of age, but he has already played several times for FC Copenhagen and the winger has scored quite a few goals as well. Also, he has already represented Sweden at the under-21 level.
There is very little doubt that he is a supreme talent and if he develops at the rate that he is expected to, then perhaps someday he could very well end up at Real Madrid.
Of course, Los Blancos always have their eyes open for the next big thing in football and it would not be a major surprise if they are already watching the Swedish wonderkid.
