Real Madrid have kept their eyes on some of the biggest talents around the world in recent times. That has seen them being linked with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Josko Gvardiol and several others, while also getting a deal done for Endrick, who will be arriving in the summer of 2024. Another player who falls firmly into that category is Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United.
He might be just 18 years of age, but he has already made his presence felt for Manchester United at the senior level and established himself as a regular option to bring off the bench for Erik ten Hag this season.
Garnacho does not have a long time left on his current deal with Manchester United though, which has seen him being linked with clubs like Real Madrid.
Someone like Garnacho would certainly fit the profile of player that Real Madrid have had eyes on in recent years. But there is some bad news for them in that regard.
Manchester United close to agreeing new deal with Real Madrid target
As reported by AS (via Manchester Evening News), only image rights are left to be finalised before a full agreement is reached between Manchester United and Garnacho over a contract extension, an issue both parties are confident of sorting out swiftly.
It is believed that everything could be done in a matter of days, and Garnacho looks set to remain a Manchester United player.
Of course, someone like Garnacho could have been an excellent addition for Real Madrid, especially considering the lack of depth all over the pitch for Los Blancos. Vinicius Junior is the unquestionable starter at left-wing in Carlo Ancelotti’s side. But beyond him, they do not seem to have any real options there, with Eden Hazard not even being used as a substitute on most occasions this season.
