Real Madrid have built up quite the reputation for signing some of the biggest talents from around the world in recent times. That seems to be the club’s new transfer strategy. To build up a team that will be competitive not only now but for the next decade to come as well. It is with that in view that they have made signings like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Aurelien Tchouameni, Endrick and several others over the past few years.

It does not look like Real Madrid have any plans of stopping either. The club have been linked with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Josko Gvardiol, Erling Haaland, Dusan Vlahovic, Robert Renan and many more highly rated youngsters.

Another name that has been doing the rounds of the rumour mill lately is that of Rayan Cherki. The 19-year-old French wonderkid currently plays for Lyon.

As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Cherki remains on the radar of Real Madrid and Los Blancos have secured a verbal agreement for the 19-year-old. The Spanish giants have the option to match any transfer bid for him.

Cherki has been very highly rated for a long time and he is slowly becoming a starter for Lyon. That is no easy task at just 19 years of age.

Playing as an attacking midfielder, Cherki has made his presence felt for Lyon already and one would expect him to get only better with time. There is no doubt that he is a superb talent and would tick a lot of boxes that Real Madrid are looking for, when it comes to signing a player.
