Real Madrid’s number one target for the upcoming summer transfer window is believed to be Jude Bellingham. That rumour has been doing the rounds for months now and it is not hard to understand why that might be the case after all. The Borussia Dortmund star is one of the biggest prospects in the game right now.

Bellingham is still just 19 years of age, but his pedigree already is incredible. He is one of the best players in the Bundesliga. He has performed on numerous occasions at the Champions League level. He has already captained a historic club like Borussia Dortmund, as a teenager. And he was arguably England’s best performer at the recent World Cup.

Thus, it is not hard to see why some of the biggest clubs in the world are being linked with a blockbuster move for Bellingham next summer. Real Madrid are amongst them.

At the same time though, one has to recognise that signing Bellingham will be very difficult. Clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG are also believed to be interested in his signature. As a result, Real Madrid must have alternative targets as well.

Real Madrid want €100 million star if Bellingham move fails

As reported by Cadena SER, if the move for Bellingham ultimately fails and he does not come to the Spanish capital then Real Madrid has a player like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the spotlight. The Napoli star has been one of the standout performers in Serie A this season.

Kvaratskhelia has arguably been the revelation of this season. He was a relative unknown when Napoli signed him in the summer, but he is already a bona fide superstar, and has earned the nickname ‘Kvaradona’ from the Italian club’s supporters.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Kvaratskhelia has scored 11 goals and provided 14 assists in 23 appearances for Napoli across all competitions this season.

Of course, he would not be a like-for-like alternative for someone like Bellingham, in terms of position and role in the team. But he would definitely be a blockbuster signing.
