Real Madrid fans were not happy with the club’s lack of activity in the January transfer window. It is quite clear that they do not have enough depth at the moment and that has been one of the key reasons behind their loss of form in recent months. But it looks like next summer could be a different story, in terms of bringing new faces in.

Real Madrid already have a deal in place for the summer, and Fran Garcia will return to Santiago Bernabeu after establishing himself as one of the best left-backs in La Liga at Rayo Vallecano. While not the most glamourous of signings, it does solve an area of need for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid seem to have bigger plans for next summer though. And one player who has been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu for months now is Jude Bellingham.

As reported by MARCA, Real Madrid are willing to offer a €130 million transfer fee between €100 million fixed and €30 million in variables for Bellingham. But Los Blancos know that they will not be able to compete with the economic power of Manchester City, Manchester United or PSG. They are confident in their ability to attract a player through their legendary status in the game though.

It remains to be seen if Real Madrid are able to sign Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund or not. Rumours have suggested that he is their number one target for next summer.

Enzo Fernandez was believed to be Real Madrid’s plan B in case a move for Bellingham did not work out. But the Argentine World Cup winner has already moved to Chelsea.

Also, with Fernandez’s transfer fee being around €121 million, it could have raised Bellingham’s value as well. It will be interesting to see what kind of a figure Borussia Dortmund are looking for in order to part ways with their star man.
