Real Madrid are expected to have a big summer transfer window, after making no additions in January. They have been linked with some of the most in-demand names in the game. Of course, that also means that they are in competition with some of the biggest clubs in the world and it looks like Chelsea are ready to make a push for their top target.
Chelsea have been on a record-breaking run in the transfer market since their change in ownership. One that has left their rivals scratching their heads.
While Chelsea are struggling on the pitch and sit in mid-table in the Premier League, the Blues have added the likes of Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella, Wesley Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Enzo Fernandez, Malo Gusto, Joao Felix, on loan from Atletico Madrid, and several others. That is incredible and now, it looks like they have set their sights on Jude Bellingham as well.
As reported by The Telegraph (via ESPN), Chelsea are ready to go all-out to sign Bellingham in the summer. He is believed to be the Blues’ priority target.
Chelsea ready to push for Real Madrid’s top summer target
It is not hard to understand why there is so much interest in Bellingham. He is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the game right now and might be amongst the best midfielders in the world at just 19 years of age.
His pedigree at just 19 is unbelievable. Other than Real Madrid and Chelsea, the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and PSG have also been linked with him. It could take a transfer fee close to €150 million to sign him from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
One big issue that Chelsea would face if they try to sign Bellingham is that they might not have Champions League football to offer. The club have struggled since they decided to replace Thomas Tuchel with Graham Potter, a manager whose best Premier League finish is 9th.
