Manchester United have been the surprise team in the Premier League this season. They had started the campaign poorly and questions were being asked of Erik ten Hag just weeks into the campaign. But they have completely turned things around and are now putting up a title challenge alongside Manchester City and Arsenal. Could Real Madrid make a move for one of their best players in the near future though?
Perhaps the biggest reason behind that has been the form of Marcus Rashford in recent weeks. The Englishman was heavily criticised for his form last season and many even wanted him to be shown the exit door.
But he has completely turned it around this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Rashford has scored 24 goals and provided 8 assists in 36 appearances in this campaign while playing 2700 minutes of football in total.
His current contract runs out in the summer of 2024 though and he is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal. And as reported by the Daily Star, Manchester United will look for a whopping £120 million for Rashford this summer. That is if they are forced to let him go at the end of the season. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are expected to lead the chase for him, while Barcelona are also watching developments closely.

It is hard to make a judgement on Rashford. When on top of his game, he is almost unplayable and on current form, he might be the best player in the Premier League.
At the same time though, he has historically lacked consistency to be considered as a world-class player. He does seem to be finding that under the management of Ten Hag though, who has a splendid record of developing players.
Let’s see what the future holds for Rashford. But if he can keep performing like this he would be a tremendous addition for Real Madrid.
