Real Madrid have been relatively quiet in the transfer market in recent years. They have made some big signings here and there, like Aurelien Tchouameni and Endrick. But overall, they seem to have moved away from the Galactico policy when it comes to signing players. If rumours are to believed, next summer could be a different story though.
Real Madrid have been linked with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Josko Gvardiol in recent times. But there are several other positions across the pitch where they need to strengthen.
One of them is certainly striker. As Karim Benzema showed against Liverpool, he is still one of the best strikers on the planet. At the same time though, one cannot overlook the fact that he has had to deal with several injury problems in recent times, the club have no real back up for him and that the Frenchman is 35 years of age.
Thus, do not be surprised if Real Madrid try to sign a striker next summer. But they might have to compete with Arsenal for the signature of one of their targets.
Arsenal and Real Madrid battle for €100 million player
As reported by AS, Real Madrid remain attentive to the situation of Dusan Vlahovic. As reported by Express, Arsenal are among the clubs to be credited with an interest in the Juventus star.
It has been only a little over a year since Vlahovic arrived at Juventus and he has done a decent job leading the line for the Turin side in that time. But it looks like he could be on the move soon.
Someone like Vlahovic could be a great long-term addition for Real Madrid. It is expected to take a transfer fee higher than €100 million to get a deal for him over the line though. Let’s see what the future holds.
