Real Madrid are always on the lookout for some of the best young talents around the world. That saw them sign Endrick recently for a transfer package believed to be around €72 million including add-ons and taxes, even though he is just 16 years of age and has only a handful of senior appearances. The club have also been linked with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Josko Gvardiol in recent times. And it looks like a teenager from Liverpool has also caught their attention.
Real Madrid fans must have been delighted with their 5-2 win away at Anfield against Liverpool. There was one player on the pitch for the Reds though, who you would not have expected at the start of the season.
Stefan Bajcetic has been a revelation in recent times and the 18-year-old midfielder has been successful in establishing himself as a starter for Liverpool. His performances have drawn a lot of plaudits and the sky looks the limit for him.
As reported by Calciomercato, Bajcetic’s excellent performances have aroused the interest of Barcelona and Real Madrid, as a future reinforcement in the middle of the park.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in signing Liverpool starter
Bajcetic might have been nowhere near the starting XI even early on this season. But he is certainly getting his chances at the moment. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 22 appearances for Liverpool this season, scoring and assisting once each.
Thus, it is not hard to understand why Real Madrid and Barcelona would be interested in the Spanish wonderkid. He is a superb talent and if he can keep developing at this rate, he might be one of the premier midfielders in world football for more than a decade to come.
Let’s see if Real Madrid do end up making a move for him or not. Signing him from Liverpool would be tough to say the least.
