Real Madrid fans have known that Casemiro is one of the best players on the planet for a long time. And Manchester United supporters must have realised that over the past six months or so as well, as the Brazilian midfielder has completely transformed their team and now, Erik ten Hag’s side are looking like title contenders out of nowhere.

Manchester United also ended their half-a-decade long wait for a trophy, winning the League Cup. And Casemiro was in the middle of it all, putting in a superb performance and scoring the opener in the final.

It is safe to say that Manchester United will be delighted to have shelled out to sign Casemiro in the summer. It might have been a big figure for someone past his 30th birthday, but the Brazilian star is worth it and a lot more, and he is showing that in England.

On the other hand, it looks like Casemiro has been impressed with the level of competition in the Premier League as well. As reported by Manchester United’s official website, he said in an exclusive TeamViewer video:

"”Well, honestly, it’s different.“Especially because of the different circumstances, like the intensity of the games here.”I’m not trying to underestimate La Liga, but the games here are much more difficult, there’s a higher number of transitions.”"

Real Madrid fans won’t be happy with Casemiro’s comments

Of course, a lot of Real Madrid fans will not be happy with Casemiro’s comments about the games in the Premier League being much more difficult than in La Liga. But then, that is his opinion.

We have seen several stars come from the Premier League and struggle badly in La Liga in the past. A couple of names that come to mind immediately in that regard are Philippe Coutinho and Eden Hazard.

Both were absolute superstars in England but were barely able to make their mark in Spain. So, it definitely depends from one player to another.

It is great to see Casemiro doing so well at Manchester United though. And we can only wish him the best of luck moving forward.
