Real Madrid are expected to have a busy summer transfer window. And their top target for it is believed to be Jude Bellingham. It is easy to understand why, as the Englishman might very well be the most in-demand talent in all of football. Unsurprisingly, there is expected to be a lot of competition for his signature as well.
Clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, PSG and Manchester United, are all believed to be keeping an eye on Bellingham. And rumours have suggested that it could take a transfer fee close to €150 million to sign the midfielder from Borussia Dortmund.
He is a key part of Borussia Dortmund’s starting XI though and has already captained the club at 19 years of age. Thus, it should come as no surprise that they want to keep hold of Bellingham as well.
As reported by BILD (via MARCA), Borussia Dortmund’s intention is to extend his contract by one year till 2026 and raise his salary to €15 million.

While Borussia Dortmund might be looking to hand Bellingham a new contract, they will find it very difficult to keep him at the club for much longer. It does feel like he is ready to take his next step.
Borussia Dortmund might be a huge club with a brilliant fan base, but one has to admit that they are not really competing for the top titles on a consistent enough basis. And sooner or later, Bellingham is expected to leave, as have most of their top players over the years.
Let’s see what the future holds for Bellingham at Borussia Dortmund. It would come as a major surprise though if he did end up agreeing a contract extension with the Bundesliga club and stayed there for much longer.
