Real Madrid has been the home to many legends over the years. And the club will be looking to develop their next generation of players to reach those same heights. There are a number of youngsters in their current squad who have the world of potential. And the name that perhaps tops that list is that of Vinicius Junior.

The Brazilian winger is already making his mark in the history books. He scored the Champions League-winning goal against Liverpool last season.

For years, Vinicius had been considered as one of the biggest talents in the game. But he was disappointing when it came to his efficiency in the final third of the pitch. That has completely transformed since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti as manager and now, the Brazilian is one of Real Madrid’s most reliable sources of goals and assists.

So impressive has been Vinicius, that he is earning comparisons to Ronaldinho and Neymar. As reported by Cadena SER, Cesc Fabregas said while speaking about the Brazilian star on El Larguero:

"“He is a very young boy, you also have to take that into account. If he controls this well, he can be unstoppable like Ronaldinho or Neymar was.”"

Those are lofty comparisons indeed but it is safe to say that Vinicius certainly has the potential to reach those heights. On current form, he is one of the best in the world without any doubt.

He did go through a downturn in form at one point this season, and his World Cup was not particularly impressive either. But now, he seems to be back to his best. His recent performance against Liverpool is one of the best in the Champions League in recent memory.

Now, the important thing is that Vinicius continues to perform at this level moving forward. If he is able to do that, then the sky is the limit and it would be no surprise to see him win the Ballon d’Or one day, if not multiple.
