Real Madrid have been very quiet in terms of transfer windows in recent times. The club have pulled off big moves from time to time but overall, they have not shaken up things like they used to in the past. Their last blockbuster move is the one that they made in the summer of 2019 to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea, and we all know how that one turned out.
Next summer can prove to be a different story though. And one of the players that Real Madrid have been linked with is Jude Bellingham. Now, he would be a true Galactico in every sense of the word.
Signing him would be very difficult though. Not only is it expected to take a transfer fee around the €150 million mark, but other top European teams like Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG and several others are also believed to hold an interest in the youngster.
Thus, Real Madrid must keep their eyes out on alternative targets as well. And the club have been linked with rising Celta Vigo star, Gabri Veiga, in recent times. And there appears to be some good news for Los Blancos in that regard.
Real Madrid handed major €40 million transfer boost
As reported by Defensa Central (via The Hard Tackle), Veiga is a top target for Real Madrid and the 20-year-old midfielder is keen on moving to Santiago Bernabeu as well. But the Celta Vigo prospect wants assurances of regular game time.
Veiga has been a standout performer for Celta Vigo this season. And at 20 years of age, there is plenty of room for improvement as well.
What make his performances even more impressive is the fact that Celta Vigo have struggled as a team this season. Thus, it should come as no surprise that clubs like Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been linked with him recently.
