Mount is going through a tough campaign right now. But that can be said about the majority of Chelsea’s players, as they find themselves in mid table in the Premier League.
There is no doubt about Mount’s quality though. He won back-to-back Player of the Year awards for Chelsea. And his numbers last season were brilliant.
It is not just what he brings on the ball though but off it as well. Mount’s work rate is brilliant as he is the type of player who will run his socks off for the team with his relentless pressing. That is one of the biggest reasons why he has been a nailed on starter for every manager that he has played under.
Also, his contract runs out in the summer of 2024. Thus, there could be an opportunity for Real Madrid to sign him for a bargain transfer fee next summer.
