Real Madrid have already announced that Endrick will join them from Palmeiras in 2024. It is believed that the club agreed a deal in the region of €60 million to sign the Brazilian wonderkid. That is an extraordinary amount to shell out for a 16-year-old and has broken all sorts of records. But then, it is not hard to see why Los Blancos made the move either.
Endrick is considered to be the biggest talent to come out of Brazilian football since Neymar. And he has already earned comparisons to a certain Ronaldo Nazario.
Thus, if Endrick is able to fulfil his potential, then the €60 million figure might look like a bargain in the future. But his recent form has caused some worry for sure.
Endrick has not managed to find the back of the net once in 2023 and overall, he is in the middle of a 14-game goalless run. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 0 goals and provided 1 assist in 12 appearances in this campaign till now.
Real Madrid handed massive worry by €60 million signing
It is safe to say that Endrick’s form will come as a worry for Real Madrid fans. After a bright start to life in the senior level, which had seen him score thrice in his first five games, his form has completely faded away.
One also has to wonder whether Endrick is struggling under the pressure of expectations. At the end of the day, he is still just 16 years of age. But he is already set for a future move to Real Madrid and is being considered the next big thing in Brazilian football. That cannot be easy to deal with.
Again though, he is just 16, and it is too early to start worrying. He is finding his feet in the senior game and hopefully, he will be able to do so soon. He has plenty of time to grow and develop before making the move to Europe.
