And while he was never really a starter for the club, he has always been in and around the picture as a reliable performer.
In fact, one could argue that Nacho has been one of Real Madrid’s best players in recent weeks, as those around him have struggled. Also, he is someone capable of filling in all across the backline.
So, it is not hard to see why keeping a player with his versatility and experience around is a huge positive for Real Madrid. Now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the Spaniard.
