Real Madrid could be in need of a new manager soon. Carlo Ancelotti is walking the managerial tightrope right now. After a bright start to the campaign, his side have struggled to find any kind of consistency lately. And if they finish the season without a trophy, it is more than likely that the Italian would be shown the exit door. It would be very similar to how his first stint in the Santiago Bernabeu hot seat had come to an end as well.

Of course, that would leave Real Madrid needing a replacement. Names like Thomas Tuchel Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane and Raul have been brought up as potential candidates to replace Ancelotti.

Another top manager could enter the fray soon though, with his future in the Premier League looking uncertain. As reported by Miguel Delaney in the Reading The Game newsletter in The Independent [2:12pm, March 10, 2023] (via HITC), Antonio Conte wants to become the new Real Madrid head coach.

Conte is currently the manager of Tottenham Hotspur. But it looks very likely that he will head out of the exit door soon, with his contract running out in the summer.

Premier League manager is interested in Real Madrid job

There is no question about Conte’s prowess as a manager. It was he who turned Juventus into the juggernaut that would go on to dominate for nearly a decade. And then he himself brought an end to that historic run with Inter Milan. In between, he also won the Premier League and FA Cup at Chelsea, and also managed the Italian national team.

You can hold Conte’s resume up against anyone when it comes to league competitions. There is a gap there on the continental stage though.

Conte’s record is not great when it comes to the Champions League. And as everyone knows, it is in that competition that most Real Madrid managers are measured.
