Haaland is another name that has been mentioned as a potential Real Madrid signing since he burst onto the scene at Red Bull Salzburg back in 2019. Currently at Manchester City, he leads the Premier League scoring charts with 27 goals to his name already.

However, Haaland has somewhat of a reputation for having games where he barely gets a touch on the ball and is not of any benefit to his team. He definitely fits the profile of a more traditional penalty box striker, which seems to slowly be fading out for more dynamic forwards in today’s game. Nobody can argue with the numbers he is putting up though.

Alvaro Rodriguez

Alvaro is a very unique and under the radar player for Real Madrid. Just 18 years of age and playing for Castilla, he has been seeing game time for the main team in recent weeks. He has already registered a goal and an assist as well.

He is still only 18 years old so Alvaro is obviously a bit of a work in progress, but he has shown signs that he could potentially be Real Madrid’s main man for the future. Plus, since he is already at the club, they wouldn’t have to pay a massive transfer fee to bring him in and could use that money to reinvest in other positions across the pitch. The fans would love to see the Uruguayan youngster get more game time in the rest of the season to see what more he can bring to the team.

There is no doubt that Real Madrid have a lot of thinking to do regarding their future with all of the rumours swirling around regarding potential signings and players coming and going. Finding a long-term replacement for Benzema definitely has to be near the top of their wishlist.
