Real Madrid have a number of tough decisions to make over the coming months. It is quite clear that some changes are needed to be made at the club. They simply have not been good enough this season. Things had started in magnificent fashion and they had not lost their first match of the campaign before the away trip to RB Leipzig in Germany. But in recent times, things have completely fizzled out.

One of the big decisions that they have to make is regarding the future of Eden Hazard. The Belgian has completely fallen out of Carlo Ancelotti’s first-team plans. His last appearance for the club was back in early January. His last one in La Liga was in September.

Yet, he will still have a year left on his deal at the end of the season. And it looks like Hazard is planning to see out his entire contract, before leaving Real Madrid.

On the other hand, Real Madrid appear to be pursuing alternate solutions. As reported by AS, a loan transfer in which Los Blancos assumes part of his salary is an option.

Hazard is one of the highest earners at Real Madrid. And as a result, it is not hard to understand why the club might consider a loan deal.

Of course, it is easier said than done. Hazard has barely featured this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 7 appearances and played 296 minutes of football, scoring and assisting once each.

Thus, it might be difficult to find clubs interested in taking on Hazard on a loan deal. At the same time, one would have to wonder if the Belgian would be open to the idea of leaving Real Madrid on a loan deal.
