Real Madrid have been linked with a number of top players in recent times, as it is clear that the squad needs a bit of a revamp. Los Blancos need to bring in reinforcements all over the pitch. One of those positions might be right wing, where Federico Valverde fills in most often even though his long-term future is expected to lie in the middle of the park.
Real Madrid might be handed a big chance to sign one of the best players in the world next summer. As it looks Mohamed Salah could be eyeing an Anfield exit at the end of the campaign.
Salah has been in the Ballon d’Or conversation for several years now. And he has established himself as a legend at Liverpool. That cycle might be coming to an end though. Sadio Mane has already left for Bayern Munich. Roberto Firmino is set to leave in the summer. Could the Egyptian join him out of the exit door?
As reported by Foot Mercato, Salah is thinking more and more about a departure. In case of an exit, Spain is a preferred destination for the Egyptian hero.
Real Madrid handed chance to sign Salah in the summer
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Salah has scored 178 goals and provided 74 assists in 293 appearances for Liverpool till now. Those are magnificent numbers, especially for a right winger.
Thus, he would be a terrific addition for almost every club around Europe, including Real Madrid. But at the same time, there are some issues with a potential move as well.
On one hand, it is expected to take a significant transfer fee to sign Salah, with his current deal running till the summer of 2025. On the other hand, the Egyptian will be turning 31 years of age in June. Thus, he would not be expected to make a difference for Real Madrid in the long term.
