Liverpool failed to get past Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League this season, as Los Blancos won by a convincing 6-2 on aggregate. Overall, it has been a poor campaign for Jurgen Klopp’s side and it remains to be seen if they can mount a late comeback, and finish in the top four of the Premier League.
One thing is for certain. Liverpool’s glorious cycle of the past half-a-decade or so is coming to an end. They have already seen Sadio Mane leave, Roberto Firmino will be on his way out in the summer and there are question marks regarding the future of Mohamed Salah as well.
Under these circumstances, the club need to bring in reinforcements. And it looks like a Real Madrid player, currently out on loan at AC Milan, has caught their attention.
As reported by Fichajes, Brahim Diaz is a different profile and can offer versatility to Klopp. Newcastle United are also interested in the Spaniard.
Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid player
Brahim has been decent during his loan spell at AC Milan. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists in 31 appearances for the club.
Those are decent numbers to say the least but one has to wonder whether Brahim is good enough to be starting on a regular basis for Real Madrid. As a result, a move away in the summer cannot be ruled out.
Other than Liverpool and Newcastle United, Chelsea are also rumoured to hold an interest in the Spaniard. On the other hand, there have been suggestions that AC Milan are also interested in keeping him at the San Siro beyond this season. So, there does not seem to be any lack of interest in the 23-year-old’s signature. Let’s see what the future holds for him.
