Real Madrid have a number of players right now, whose long-term futures at Santiago Bernabeu are uncertain. One such player seems to be making quite the impression out on loan at AC Milan. It is none other than Brahim Diaz, who has been on a temporary basis at San Siro since 2020, a stint that could come to an end in the summer.

It remains to be seen if Brahim returns to Real Madrid or not. Even if he did, he might not have a regular place in the starting XI.

On the other hand, there has been plenty of interest in the Spaniard’s signature. AC Milan are believed to be looking to extend his stint at San Siro and sign him on a permanent basis from Real Madrid. On the other hand, the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United have also been linked with Brahim. And now, it looks like Arsenal have joined the race as well.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Arsenal ‘would like to open negotiations’ and ‘present an offer’ to Real Madrid for Brahim. Mikel Arteta knows the Spaniard well from their time together at Manchester City.

The situation of Brahim is interesting. There is no doubt that he is a very good player and has impressed at AC Milan. But his numbers for the Italian club are not nearly out of the world.

Yet, some of the biggest clubs on the planet are believed to be interesting in signing him. On the other hand, there have been suggestions that Real Madrid want to hand him a contract extension.

Brahim’s current deal with Real Madrid is believed to run till the summer of 2025. And it will be very interesting to see where the youngster’s long-term future lies.
