Real Madrid eyeing PSG target with €45 million clause
When Real Madrid signed Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer in the summer, the hope would have been that it would solve their defensive problems for the foreseeable future. That has not been the case though. The German centre-back has struggled to rediscover the form that he showcased during his last 18 months at Chelsea.
On the other hand, the form of David Alaba has been questionable after the World Cup break as well. And the future of Nacho Fernandez is firmly up in the air, with his current deal running out at the end of this campaign.
Thus, Eder Militao looks like the only centre-back in the squad right now, whose place in Carlo Ancelotti’s team is absolutely certain. So, Real Madrid could do with another option in that area of the pitch. And it looks like they have a Sporting CP player in their sights.
As reported by Foot Mercato, Goncalo Inacio is still in the sights of PSG. The Portuguese centre-back is believed to have a €45 million release clause. Real Madrid is also following him.

Inacio currently plays for Sporting CP in the Portuguese top flight. He has been a standout performer for the club.
His displays have also seen him represent the Portugal national team on a few occasions. And it is worth pointing out that Inacio is just 21 years of age. Centre-backs generally get better with age and experience. Thus, the sky looks like the limit for the youngster.
Inacio ticks a lot of the boxes that Real Madrid look for when signing players these days. He is young, talented and with a lot of potential. Of course, PSG’s interest in the player makes things complicated. It remains to be seen if Los Blancos will make an attempt to sign him or not.
