If there is one thing that has become clear over the course of the season, it is that Real Madrid do not have enough depth to compete throughout the campaign and they need to bring in reinforcements as soon as possible. The hope was that that would be done in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Real Madrid need to bring in reinforcements all over the pitch. And they have been linked with a wide variety of players in recent times as well.

But there appears to be some bad news for the fans, if they were expecting the club to make any major signings in the summer. It looks like that is not a part of their plans as things stand.

As reported by MARCA, Real Madrid will face next season without great reinforcements. And many at the club consider Carlo Ancelotti as the ideal coach to continue in the Santiago Bernabeu hot seat.

Thus, it looks like Real Madrid are not planning to make any great reinforcements in the summer. That is contrary to many early rumours, which had suggested that the club were getting ready for a big summer transfer window and were being linked with big name players like Jude Bellingham, Josko Gvardiol and several others.

It looks like plans might have changed since then. And that might leave a lot of Real Madrid fans feeling down, as many were hoping for big changes in the upcoming summer transfer window.

If the club do not actually end up ringing in major changes, then Ancelotti might be the best option to continue. The Italian has shown the ability to get the most out of the least. And that is exactly the type of manager Los Blancos might need in the current circumstances.
