Major twist in Eden Hazard’s future at Real Madrid

It would be safe to say that Eden Hazard’s time at Real Madrid has been a nightmare. When the club broke their transfer record in order to sign the Belgian superstar from Chelsea in the summer of 2019, it was seen as a coup for Los Blancos. He had established himself as a legend in the Premier League during his seven years at Stamford Bridge.

Also, Hazard was in the middle of his prime at that point of time and without doubt one of the best players on the planet. Thus, the expectation was that he would become the face of Real Madrid.

Reality has proven to be quite different. Hazard struggled with one injury after another during his time at Santiago Bernabeu, and seems to have pretty much lost his place in the team by now.

Hazard’s last appearance for Real Madrid came back in early January. On the other hand, his last appearance in La Liga was in September. Yet, it was looking like he was set to see out the remaining year in his contract with the club. But now, there seems to be a twist in the tale.

Major twist in Hazard’s future at Real Madrid

As reported by Fotomac (via SPORT), Fenerbahce are a team interested in acquiring the services of Hazard.

For a while, it had looked like there was going to be no interest in signing Hazard. But now, it appears that Fenerbahce are a club who appear to have an interest in signing the Belgian, despite how the past four seasons have gone for him at Real Madrid.

It remains to be seen if Hazard wants to leave the club in the summer or intends to see out the final year of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu. But it looks like he will have an option to consider.
