Real Madrid have been linked with a never ending list of players in recent times. It will be interesting to see how many of them the club do end up making a move for in the future. It is clear though that they need to bring in reinforcements all across the pitch, because they are light on options in several positions.
Left-back is one such area where the club could do with more options. Ferland Mendy has struggled with both form and fitness this season. The same can be said about David Alaba as well, who has not been at his best after the World Cup break.
Real Madrid are already set to bring in Fran Garcia from Rayo Vallecano. Can he be the starting left-back though? Time shall tell. On the other hand, it looks like the club have their eyes on another player as well.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, if Alphonso Davies continues without signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich then in the summer of 2024, he will have only a year left on his deal. And that could beĀ used by Real Madrid to try to sign him.
Real Madrid keeping eye on Bayern Munich player
Someone like Davies could be a long-term solution for Real Madrid at left-back. They have been linked with him for quite some time as well.
Of course, it will not be easy to sign him. On one hand, Bayern Munich would surely want to hold on to Davies. On the other hand, if he does leave the club, then there is not expected to be any lack of interest in his signature.
It remains to be seen if Real Madrid end up making a move for Davies in the future or not. For the time being, they seem to be keeping an eye out on him.
