Real Madrid are clearly in definite need of reinforcements this summer. A combination of aging players, expiring contracts, and injuries has led to a lot of problems this season. After a solid start to the campaign, their form has been anything but consistent. No matter how this season ends, every fan is hoping for some fresh faces in the near future.

One of the main areas reinforcements are needed is in the frontline. Karim Benzema has faced a lot of fitness issues this season, and with no real backup for him up front, as well as no established right winger, Real Madrid should start looking for players to fill the gaps.

Rodrygo has done well when he has played on the wing, and he definitely has a bright future at Real Madrid. Fede Valverde has mostly played there this season but is a natural midfielder, and Eden Hazard has barely featured. There is a gap to be filled on that right flank, with Vinicius Junior’s spot on the left all secured for the foreseeable future.

Who could Real Madrid bring in though? Well, the club have been linked with a Serie A superstar that would make fans happy.

As tweeted out by Pacojo, Rafael Leao’s name has already sounded in contacts with Real Madrid. And it is not the first time.

Since his arrival at AC Milan in 2019, Leao has been turning heads of fans, and played a starring role in the club’s Serie A triumph last season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 36 appearances this season.

Leao can play all across the frontline and could be a solid addition for Real Madrid. His current deal with AC Milan runs out in the summer of 2024 and he is yet to put pen on paper on a new contract.
