Real Madrid are getting ready to face the difficult task of overturning a 1-0 deficit against Barcelona in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-finals, and that too at Camp Nou. It also must be pointed out that Carlo Ancelotti’s side go into the match having lost the previous three El Clasicos. Thus, the Catalan giants have to be considered as the heavy favourites to go through.

At the same time, one cannot overlook Real Madrid’s habit of turning ties around under the most unexpected of circumstances. We saw that time after time in their run to the Champions League title last season.

If Real Madrid are at their best then they have enough in the tank to get a positive result against Barcelona. The problem is, they have struggle to produce their A-game in recent times, especially when up against Xavi’s team.

Some of Yaya Toure’s comments before the big game will not make Real Madrid fans happy though. As reported by MARCA, the former Barcelona player said:

"“In Europe all teams are afraid of Madrid, but Madrid is afraid of Barcelona.”"

Of course, Toure played quite a few years for Barcelona during the course of his storied career. Thus, one would expect him to have positive things to say about the Catalan giants.

He would go on to establish himself as one of the best midfielders of his generation at Manchester City, the club he joined after leaving Barcelona. He would also play for a couple more teams at the end of his career before hanging up his boots. At the international level, Toure made more then a hundred appearances for the Ivory Coast national team.

One can only hope that the Real Madrid fans will see Toure’s comments before the match and only use it as extra motivation, if they do need any.
