Real Madrid’s defence has not been the best this season, as they have conceded far too many goals, and have been making too many mistakes at the back. One of the main areas of concern in the back-line is definitely right-back. Dani Carvajal has been anything but consistent in the ongoing campaign with his form causing worry to many fans.

Carvajal has been dropped from the starting line up a few times this season, with Nacho coming in to fill in at right-back. And he has done a good job when called upon but is definitely not a long-term solution there.

At the moment Real Madrid do not have great cover at right-back, and with Carvajal’s form being how it has been this season, it could be time to start looking for a long-term solution in the position. And the latest name being linked with Los Blancos could turn the heads of the supporters.

As reported by 90min, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all expressed an interest in Benjamin Pavard. They have asked to be kept informed about his situation.

Pavard has a little over a year left on his current deal at Bayern Munich. And it is believed that the French World Cup winner wants to wait till the summer before discussing his situation at the club.

Pavard is a proven winner for both club and country. He won the World Cup with France in 2018 and played a key part in that, and also won the UEFA Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2020. Pavard is versatile in defence as he can play both right-back as well as a centre-back. Someone like him would definitely tick all of the boxes that Real Madrid could be looking for in their next right-back.
