He is proven in the Bundesliga and Champions League level. He has already captained a club like Borussia Dortmund. And he was arguably England’s best player at the recent World Cup.

At the same time though, it is going to take a huge transfer fee to sign him from Borussia Dortmund. Thus, if Real Madrid have any doubts about the midfielder, then the best step might be to not sign him.
