PSG and Real Madrid have had a bit of a rivalry in recent years, both on and off the pitch. They have met in the Champions League, with Los Blancos coming out on top. On the other hand, the transfer saga involving Kylian Mbappe has grabbed a lot of headlines as well. Both teams also found themselves on opposite ends when it came to the idea of the European Super League.
Thus, rumours have suggested that the relationship between the two clubs is not great at this point of time. That has not stopped PSG from being linked with one of Real Madrid’s most promising youngsters though.
PSG’s transfer policy seems to have undergone a bit of a change recently and they seem to be looking to make smart signings instead of big name ones. And a Real Madrid youngster appears to be on their radar.
As reported by RMC Sport (via Fichajes), PSG have set their sights on Rafa Marin. It is expected that in the next window, the French giants will make a proposal to Real Madrid.
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Real Madrid player
Marin plays as a centre-back and is set to turn 21 years of age next month. He has been one of the most highly rated talents at Castilla for a long time as well.
But despite his unquestionable potential, he has not made a single appearance for Real Madrid at the senior level yet. Marin’s current contract runs until the summer of 2024 and there appears to be plenty of interest in his signature.
Marin is at a stage of his career where he needs to be playing at the senior level in order to continue his development and fulfil his potential. And if the chances don’t come at Real Madrid, then it would not be a surprise to see him depart in the near future.
