Real Madrid are in need of a striker in the summer. Karim Benzema has shown with his recent performances, including a hattrick against Barcelona at Camp Nou, that he is still a world-class player. One cannot overlook his struggles with injuries this season though or the fact that he is 35 years of age now. On the other hand, Los Blancos do not have any real back up for the Frenchman either.

Mariano Diaz has barely featured and is expected to depart in the summer. And while Alvaro might have impressed in his few appearances, he is just 18 years old and needs time to develop before he can play a key role for Real Madrid.

Thus, all things considered, Real Madrid need to bring in another striker in the summer, who ideally would be the long-term successor to Benzema. And a Juventus player seems to have caught their attention.

As reported by SPORT, Real Madrid are attentive to the situation of Dusan Vlahovic. They are not the only team though. Arsenal and Bayern Munich also have the Serbian striker in their sights.

Juventus signed Vlahovic from Fiorentina in January of 2022 for a transfer package believed to be around €81 million including add-ons. He has done a decent job for the Turin club, but many believed that he has failed to match the sky high expectations.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Vlahovic has scored 20 goals and provided 6 assists in 52 appearances in all competitions for Juventus till now.

It must also be pointed out though that Massimiliano Allegri’s style of football does not seem like the right fit for a striker like Vlahovic. And there have been some suggestions that Juventus could be open to letting him leave in the summer if the right offer arrives at their table.
