Real Madrid have built up quite a reputation for signing the best talents from Brazilian football. Both Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo were brought in as teenagers, and they have gone on to establish themselves as important parts of the club’s first-team. And not too long ago, Los Blancos pulled off another major deal.

Real Madrid agreed a €60 million transfer package to sign Endrick from Palmeiras. He will join the club in 2024. Clubs like Chelsea and PSG were also interested in him, so it was considered as a major coup.

Since then, Endrick has been on a bad run of form though. He was on a long run in front of goal where he did not score a single goal. It was in April that he scored his first goal of the year. Thus, many fans have been wondering whether Real Madrid made a mistake going after the Brazilian wonderkid before he proved himself at the senior level.

But as tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are very happy with the deal and convinced he is a top talent.

While Endrick has had his struggles in recent times, it is worth remembering that he is just 16 years old. Most players of his age have not even made their debuts and he has already played a decent amount of football at the top level.

Endrick is considered as the biggest talent to come out of Brazilian football since Neymar. On top of that, he has also earned comparisons with Real Madrid legend, Ronaldo Nazario.

Thus, it is not hard to see why Real Madrid went after him. Yes, there is a big risk involved considering that major investment. But if Endrick even gets close to fulfilling his potential, it could look like a bargain in the future.
