There have been a lot of rumours surrounding Real Madrid’s plans ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. And many have been conflicting as well. Some have suggested that the club are looking to make several major additions to their ranks. On the other hand, there have been others which have suggested that they are not looking to make a big splash.
One player who has been linked with the club for a long time though is Jude Bellingham. It feels like the Englishman will leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer and get a mega transfer move.
Real Madrid are not the only club who have been linked with a move for Bellingham though. The likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, PSG and Manchester United are also rumoured to hold an interest. But now, it looks like one of them has dropped out of the race.
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool see the Jude Bellingham deal as ‘too expensive’ due to the £130 million fee, huge salary over 6 years and commission. Real Madrid and Manchester City are in the race while the Manchester United situation depends on the club sale.
Liverpool hand £130 million transfer boost to Real Madrid
Bellingham is one of the biggest talents in world football right now and has the potential to be the best midfielder of his generation. But at the same time, a £130 million transfer fee is a lot to pay for any player.
Thus, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid are willing to shell out that kind of a figure to sign Bellingham in the summer or not. They have remained relatively quiet in the transfer market in recent years.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Bellingham. But it does look like he will get a big move. The destination remains unclear.
