There is a chance that Real Madrid could end up meeting AC Milan in the final of the UEFA Champions League. Both teams got wins in the first leg of their respective quarter-final ties. The two seem to be involved in negotiations over the signing of a player as well. That is none other than Brahim Diaz, who has made quite the impression this season.

Brahim has been a Real Madrid player since 2019. The Spaniard has spent the past three seasons on loan at AC Milan though and he has certainly grown as a player there.

Brahim seems to be playing some of his best football this season. And it looks like AC Milan are now looking to sign him on a permanent basis.

As reported by Tuttosport (via SPORT), AC Milan have already begun negotiations with Real Madrid to agree on a transfer for Brahim in the next window. The Italian club want to reach an agreement for about €18-20 million.

Brahim seems to have caught the interest of some of the top clubs in the world with his performances this season. The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and more are rumoured to be keeping an eye on the Spaniard as well.

There have also been suggestions that AC Milan have an option to buy in the loan deal of around €22 million. In that scenario, Real Madrid would have a buyback option set at €27 million.

One has to feel that if a Premier League club came in to sign Brahim then Real Madrid could land a significant transfer fee. Thus, the entire situation surrounding the player is interesting to say the very least.

Of course, returning to Real Madrid is a very viable option as well. The club are lacking in squad depth at the moment and could do with more players to say the very least.
