Real Madrid have been linked with a number of high profile names in recent months, as it is clear that the club need to strengthen their ranks even though they are still very much in the running for a Champions League and Copa del Rey double. It remains to be seen if the club end up bringing in reinforcements or not.
One of the standout names that they have been linked with recently is that of Jude Bellingham. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder might very well be the most in-demand talent on the planet and is also believed to be on the radar of clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG. Liverpool were also linked with him but rumours have suggested that they have cooled their interest.
It is not hard to see why so many top clubs are after the signature of Bellingham though. At 19 years of age, he is considered amongst the best midfielders on the planet and has proven himself at the top level for both club and country.
Manchester United icon, Paul Scholes, appears to believe that Bellingham is headed for Real Madrid though. As reported by The Sun, he said on BT Sport:
"“I do think he’ll sign for Real Madrid – I don’t know why. I’ve just got that feeling.“But I do hope he comes here [Old Trafford]. He could make United a proper team.”"

Bellingham could be a tremendous signing for Real Madrid. He has the potential to establish himself as the best midfielder of his generation if he develops according to expectations.
Of course, it will not be easy to sign him. In terms of competition, there is plenty. And Borussia Dortmund are believed to be looking for a transfer fee around €150 million to let Bellingham go.
Thus, if Real Madrid do end signing Bellingham, it has the potential to be the biggest signing in the history of the club. Let’s see if they are able to pull it off or not.
