Real Madrid make Aurelien Tchouameni transfer decision
Aurelien Tchouameni was Real Madrid’s big signing of the summer transfer window, as they brought the Frenchman in from AS Monaco. And he made a brilliant start to life at Santiago Bernabeu as well, establishing himself as a starter early on in the campaign, taking the place of Casemiro, who had left for Manchester United.
Things have not going Tchouameni’s way in recent times though. He has struggled a bit after the World Cup. One has to wonder if the penalty miss in the final against Argentina has had an effect on him.
On the other hand, Eduardo Camavinga has emerged after the World Cup break to establish himself as a starter. He has played a lot of his football at left-back, but he has featured in midfield as well.
All things considered, Tchouameni is playing a secondary role right now. And some rumours have broken out about a possible exit as well. Real Madrid do not seem to be interested though.
Real Madrid make Tchouameni transfer decision
As reported by AS, Real Madrid do not listen to any offer for Tchouameni. They believe that his form is probably due to the adaptation to a new model of play, a new country, a new team.
It would be way too early to consider letting Tchouameni go. At the end of the day, he is just 23 years of age, in his first season in Spain, trying to make his mark at the biggest club in the world. These struggles should not be a major concern.
We have seen a number of players struggle early on in their runs at Real Madrid before going on to become integral parts of the team. A prime example of that is Luka Modric, who was once viewed as a bad signing. So, the club should give Tchouameni the time to adjust and hopefully, he will start delivering again in the future.
