Real Madrid had the best midfield department in the world for a long time. But things could be about to change in the middle of the park in the near future. In fact, some changes are already on the way. Casemiro left in the summer for Manchester United while Aurelien Tchouameni was brought in from AS Monaco.

Eduardo Camavinga is quickly establishing his place in the team as a starter as well. And while it feels like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will stay on for another season, both seem to be in the twilight of their respective careers.

Thus, Real Madrid might need to bring in midfielders soon. One player that they have been linked with in recent times is Jude Bellingham, and it is not hard to understand why. It will not be easy to sign him though, as plenty of other top clubs are interested as well.

Another rising midfielder in the game today is Moises Caicedo, who has established himself as  one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League while playing for Brighton & Hove Albion. And it looks like the 21-year-old dreams of playing for Real Madrid one day.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Caicedo said in an interview with Cadena SER:

"“It has always been my dream to play for Real Madrid.“Now I’m doing very well and why not one day play there and lift a Champions League with Real Madrid.”"

Caicedo was heavily linked with clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea in January. And it is believed that Brighton & Hove Albion would look for a transfer fee north of £70 million in order to part ways with their star midfielder.

Caicedo is a defensive midfielder and could fill the gap in the squad left behind by Casemiro, when he joined Manchester United in the summer. But at the same time, it is hard to see Real Madrid shelling out that kind of a figure in order to sign the Ecuadorian international from Brighton & Hove Albion.
