Real Madrid do not have a lot of depth in their squad. As a result, they cannot afford to let many of their players leave in the summer transfer window and reduce their options further. But at the same time, there are a few, who have barely featured in recent times and it might be time to part ways with them.

When it comes to players who seem to have lost their place in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans, Eden Hazard has to be near the top of the list. The Belgian has played very little football this season.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Hazard has made 9 appearances and played 331 minutes of football this season. He has scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists.

That is not the kind of output that you expect from Real Madrid’s record signing. And after four years at the club, it might be time to part ways, even though he will still have a season left on his contract in the summer.

Newcastle United could make offer for Real Madrid player

As reported by Fichajes, Newcastle United could be considering making an offer to sign Hazard from Real Madrid in the summer.

Of course, Hazard is very familiar with the English top flight. In fact, he established himself as a Premier League legend during his seven years at Chelsea and was one of the best players in the world at that point of time.

Those performances convinced Real Madrid to shatter their transfer record in order to sign Hazard from Chelsea back in the summer of 2019. He was in the middle of his prime and was expected to become the face of the team.

Unfortunately, the Belgian’s career has been derailed by injuries since arriving in the Spanish capital. Now, it remains to be seen whether he stays on or leaves in the summer.
