Real Madrid do not have a lot of depth at this point of time. And yet, there are also quite a few players, who could be on their way out in the summer. They have not been contributing to the team much, and on top of that, some of them have been dealing with constant injury problems as well.
One player who appears to fall under that category is Ferland Mendy. Not too long ago, the Frenchman was considered as an undroppable in Real Madrid’s team.
But questions were raised about his form even earlier on in the campaign. And recently, he has struggled to remain fit, dealing with multiple injury blows. That has not stopped clubs around Europe from keeping an eye on the Frenchman though.
As reported by El Nacional, PSG is very interested in signing Mendy. They have been observing the Frenchman’s situation for some time.
PSG are interested in Real Madrid player this summer
Left-back is an area of the pitch where Real Madrid do not have too many options. With both Mendy and David Alaba out injured at the moment, they have played the likes of Eduardo Camavinga and Nacho Fernandez in the position.
That is not a long-term solution though. And yet, it looks like Mendy is someone that the club could consider letting go in the summer.
The Frenchman just does not look like the right fit for this team. The attacking side of his game has always seemed a bit weak, even though he is defensively very good.
The good news for Real Madrid is that they are set to sign Fran Garcia in the summer from Rayo Vallecano. He has been one of the standout left-backs in La Liga this season and can strengthen Los Blancos in that area of the pitch considerably.
