Real Madrid ready to pay €120 million transfer fee for star

Real Madrid are a club who have been very careful in the transfer market in recent years. The Galactico era is in the past. The club have been more focused on signing young players with high potential instead and that strategy has worked like a dream to be honest. They have been successful in developing first-team stars like Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and many more.

The club have their eyes on another youngster with world-class potential. But in his case, he might already be a Galactico and it will require that kind of a transfer fee as well.

The player in question is Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund. The Englishman is one of the best midfielders in the game at 19 years of age. And it is believed that the Bundesliga club would be looking for a transfer fee around €150 million to let him go in the summer.

As reported by AS, Bellingham is a priority for Real Madrid. But the transfer fee they are willing to pay Borussia Dortmund to sign him will not exceed €120 million.

€120 million is a huge transfer fee to shell out for any player, especially someone who is just 19 years of age. Yet, it was just in January that Chelsea signed Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for something similar.

With all due respect to Fernandez, Bellingham is much more proven when it comes to top level European football. Thus, it remains to be seen if Borussia Dortmund would be willing to let the midfielder go for that figure.

It is also worth noting that several other top clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and PSG are also believed to be keeping an eye on Bellingham’s situation. Thus, the transfer race to sign him could get very interesting in the summer.
